The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted in India to certify eligibility for candidates who wish to teach in primary and upper primary schools. It is administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Successful candidates receive a CTET certificate, which is a prerequisite for teaching positions in schools that come under the purview of the CBSE.
The CTET 2024 exam, conducted on January 21, took place at 3,100 designated centers across 130 cities in the country. Approximately 26 lakh candidates participated in the exam, with around 10 lakh students taking paper 1 (for classes 1 to 5) and over 17 lakh students sitting for paper 2 (for classes 6 to 8). This massive participation demonstrates the widespread interest and importance of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test in India’s educational landscape.
- General category candidates must secure a minimum of 60%, while SC/ST/OBC candidates need to attain 55% to clear the CTET exam.
- CBSE will provide CTET scorecard along with the eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format in their DigiLocker account.
- Those who secure above the CTET cut-off will be eligible to proceed further in the recruitment process.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) by navigating to ctet.nic.in. or check at CTET Result
Step 2: Scroll down to locate the section for ‘CTET January 2024 Result’ and click on it.
Step 3: A new window will open, prompting you to enter your roll number. Once entered, click on the submit button.
Step 4: The result PDF will appear. Review your results and proceed to download it.
Step 5: For future reference, take a printout of the result.
