How To Create Ledger in Tally?
here are two ways to create ledger in Tally:
- Create -“Single Ledger” (for creating 1 or 2 ledgers ).
- Create – “Multiple Ledger” (for creating more ledgers).
To create Single Ledger- Gateway of Tally ->Accounts Info.->Ledgers->(Under Single Ledger) Create (Shortcut “ALC”).
To create Multiple Ledger-Gateway of Tally ->Accounts Info.->Ledgers->(Under Multiple Ledger) Create (Shortcut “ALR”).
Note:
- By default two ledgers already created in Tally
- Cash Account
- Profit and Loss Account
- To create ledger from voucher screen “ALT + C”
How to change/Alter Ledgers?
From the gateway of Tally
For single ledger
Go to –>Accounts Info. (A) —->Ledgers (L)—–>Alter(A) or shortcut “ALA”
All ledgers will be displayed here you can select that ledger that you want to change/alter. Make the changes in the ledger and press “CTRL+A”
For Multiple Ledgers
Go to –>Accounts Info. (A) —->Ledgers (L)—–>Alter(T) or shortcut “ALT”
All list of groups will be displayed under many ledgers are created. Here you can select a single group and alter the ledgers that you created in that group. Make the changes in the ledgers under the group and press “CTRL+A”
