Install Jira Server in Windows 10
System Requirement
Before going to direct installation steps let’s understand the system requirements. Jira can be installed in Server and Data Center as per business needs. Jira is a web-based application, which means it will follow the client/server approach. End-user can interact with the server using a web-browser any time anywhere from the internet. Minimum 8.0 or the latest version of JDK/JRE should be installed.
Step By Step Installation Guide
Jira follows the client/server approach, so before accessing Jira it should be installed in the server or Datacenter so that the user will be able to access it.
Step:1
Go to the Atlassian URL: Download Jira Software Server | Atlassian as shown in the below screenshot:

After selecting Windows 64 Bit, click on download and you will be landed on the next page where you need to select Terms & conditions. Click on Submit as shown in the below screenshot:

You will get message as shown in below screen:

Step 2:
Now you have successfully downloaded the Atlassian-Jira-software. So the next step is to “Run the Installer”. you can run directly by double click or just right click and “Run as Admin” as shown in the below screen:

Once you will Run the installer below screen will be open and click on “Next” .

It will ask you to install as express or custom or if you are upgrading it click on upgrading existing. In our case we are going with “Express Install” as shown in the below screen:

Click on “Next” it will ask TCP ports if you want to use default ports you can select that but if you want to use a customized port then enter HTTP Port Number and Control Port Number as shown in the below screenshot:

Now click on “Next” and then click on “Install” as shown in below screen:

your installation will be begin as shown in below screen:

Installation completed successfully as shown in below screen:

Step 3 :
Now installation completed, so let’s setup the application .
You can select “I will setup myself”
Step 4:
You can connect to your Database if you are going to use like Postgres, Oracle or you can also use Jira internal DB.
Step 5:
Set Application properties, you can provide your site name and you need to also select your site can be used by private or it will be public can be accessed by anyone on the web
Step 6:
If you have already purchase license then you can put it or you can go to Atlassian and generate it for 30 days of the trial version.
Step 7:
Once you have activated your license you can create your “Administrator” account, later you can add more admin as per business need.
Step 8:
If you want to set up your mail server you can do it by entering your mail server details, this will notify to the users when there are any changes in the issues.
Step 9:
Start using Jira.
