On the CA examination, the Supreme Court today said that students who are not able to appear in the examination will be considered as opt out cases. Even if the student has not opted out of the opt out option. Along with this, the Supreme Court has also sought reply from the Institute on the petition prohibiting the opt out option. The CA exam will be conducted between July 29 and August 16.
Next hearing will be held on 2nd July, 2020
The court also said that in the midst of a constantly changing situation, if a candidate is unable to choose the opt out option and falls into the contention zone, then such students should be given the option to change the examination center. Along with this, the court suggested to ICAI that due to infection, the last date for changing the examination center for the candidates should be extended. The court also said that the safety protocol of the Ministry of Health should be followed for the examination. Now the Supreme Court will hear the next hearing in this case on 2 July.
