How to Check PF Balance Online? : Employee’s Provident Fund

Check PF Balance Online: If you are working in a company then I am sure that your PF is deducted from your salary. The deducted amount is accumulated and that amount maintained by the EPFO organization. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, India (EPFO) functions under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.

Ways to check PF balance

You can check your PF balance via any of the following ways:

Note: If your Provident Fund (PF) is managed by the exempted establishment, then you should contact your employer (HR Department) to check your PF balance.

4. Missed Call

Check PF balance via Unified EPFO Portal

Before checking your PF balance online make sure that you have activated your Universal Account Number (UAN) and you have an ID (i.e UAN) and password.

1.Visit this link “https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login”. It will look like this as shown below:

2.In Sign in | EPF Passbook & Claim Status. Enter the UAN, password created by you at the time of activating your UAN, numbers shown and click on login as below shown:

3.After click on login, the window will look like this as shown below. It will contain the following details ” Welcome: Name of Employee [ UAN ]”. If you worked for more than one company then in “Select MEMBER ID” more than one member ID will appear to select the member ID and click on “View Passbook”

4. After selecting the Member ID and click on “View Passbook”. It will look like as shown below. Here you can check your claim status and also download the passbook.

Check PF balance Via UMANG App

1.You need to download the “Umang App” from the Google play store or Apple App store. It will look like this as shown below:

2. After downloading the Umang app login using the registered mobile number i.e. registered on EPFO portal.

3.After login search for EPFO and find the employee-centric services, after that click on “View Passbook” option.

4. Login using UAN and OTP received on registered mobile number.

5.After the login it will show the details of all the PF deposit.

Note: Provided that your KYC is complete on the EPFO portal, only then you will able to check your PF balance via App.

Check PF Balance Via SMS

You can check your PF balance via sending SMS to 7738299899. You need to send a message like this: EPFOHO UAN ENG. After sending the message you will get details that contain your latest contribution and PF balance.

You can receive a message in ten languages English (default), Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali. The SMS must be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.

If you wish to receive a message in any other language then You can do that by using the first three characters of your preferred language.

Note: Provided that your KYC is complete on the EPFO portal, only then you will able to check your PF balance via SMS.

Check PF balance via Miss Call

Note: Provided that your KYC is complete on the EPFO portal, only then you will able to check your PF balance via Miss Call. You may get some time error in any of the following ways because of server maintenance.

Give a miss call on “011-22901406”. You will get a message that contains your UAN, latest contribution, and PF balance.
